About This Program

The World Bank Group Africa fellowship program is a six-month immersive experience. It offers selected fellows’ placements in WBG offices – country offices or in Washington D.C. This program gives the selected individuals an opportunity to delve into the intricacies of WBG operations.

Therefore, the participants will be able to gain firsthand insights on areas, such as knowledge dissemination, policy formulation, and institution building. These three facets are the fundamentals crucial for fostering inclusive growth in developing nations.

To ensure this, fellows will have to contribute tangibly to the World Bank’s overarching mission of poverty eradication and the promotion of shared prosperity. They will do so through several ways such as research, policy engagement, technical assistance, and active involvement in lending operations.
